Directions
- Begin by rinsing 1 cup of fresh cilantro under cool water, ensuring to include both stems and leaves for maximum flavor. Next, take 1 jalapeño, halve it, and remove the seeds and ribs if you prefer a milder sauce. Peel and roughly chop 2 to 3 cloves of garlic and juice 2 limes to prepare for blending.
- In a high-speed blender, combine the chopped cilantro, lime juice, jalapeño, and garlic along with ½ cup of mayonnaise. Secure the lid tightly and blend on high for about 30 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- After blending, check the consistency of your sauce. If the sauce appears too thick for your liking, add a splash of lime juice, about a teaspoon, for extra tang. Blend again for about 10 seconds until smooth.
- Once you achieve your desired consistency, carefully pour the creamy cilantro garlic sauce into a clean, airtight container. Seal it tightly to maintain freshness and store it in the refrigerator.
