Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled cooled bacon, mayonnaise, sour cream, hot sauce (if using), and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  2. Slice a thin piece off the bottom of each bagel and hollow out the center with a spoon to create space for the filling.
  3. Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each hollowed bagel with the cream cheese mixture and level off the top.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the filled bagels for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  5. Remove the bagels from the oven, let cool slightly, and top with reserved bacon crumbs and fresh chives before serving warm.
