  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 cups Fritos Corn Chips Try Doritos for a fun twist.
  • 2 cups Mexican-Style Shredded Cheese Monterey Jack or sharp cheddar are alternatives.
For Toppings (Optional)
  • 2 each Green Onions Chopped.
  • 1 cup Guacamole
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • 1 each Jalapeños Fresh or pickled.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Walking Taco Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13x9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion for about 6-8 minutes until no longer pink.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water, bring to a boil, then simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add black beans and diced tomatoes, then stir in sour cream and cook until heated through.
  5. Layer Fritos at the bottom of the baking dish and sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  6. Spread the beef mixture over the cheese, then top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Top with additional Fritos and desired toppings before serving.
