Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Drain and press the tofu to remove excess moisture for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Freeze the tofu for several hours, then thaw completely.
  3. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes, then coat with cornstarch, garlic powder, and salt.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; add oil and fry the tofu for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Alternatively, preheat air fryer to 375°F and cook for 18-22 minutes.
  6. In a separate saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, and a pinch of salt; cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Once thickened, toss crispy tofu in the sauce until well-coated.
