  • 1 cup Milk Whole milk
  • 2 tbsp Flour For thickening
  • 1 tbsp Butter For roux
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
Toppings
  • ¼ cup Chopped Green Onions For garnish
  • ¼ cup Bacon Bits Optional
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or prepare your air fryer.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet (or air fryer basket).
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
Cheese Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour to create a roux.
  2. Slowly add the milk while whisking to prevent lumps.
  3. Add the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until smooth and melted.
Serving
  1. Once fries are done, drizzle the cheese sauce over them.
  2. Top with chopped green onions, bacon bits, and a dollop of sour cream.
