Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare Chicken by rinsing under cold running water and pouring boiling water over it. Pat dry.
- Make Marinade by combining light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, honey or brown sugar, and white pepper in a bowl. Whisk and coat the chicken.
- Prepare Rice Cooker by arranging sliced fresh ginger, smashed garlic cloves, and chopped green onions at the bottom.
- Cook Chicken by placing the marinated chicken on top of the aromatics. Drizzle remaining marinade over it and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Rest and Serve by letting the chicken rest in the cooker for a few minutes, then carving and serving over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
