Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Chicken by rinsing under cold running water and pouring boiling water over it. Pat dry.
  2. Make Marinade by combining light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, honey or brown sugar, and white pepper in a bowl. Whisk and coat the chicken.
  3. Prepare Rice Cooker by arranging sliced fresh ginger, smashed garlic cloves, and chopped green onions at the bottom.
  4. Cook Chicken by placing the marinated chicken on top of the aromatics. Drizzle remaining marinade over it and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  5. Rest and Serve by letting the chicken rest in the cooker for a few minutes, then carving and serving over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
