Preparation Steps
- Thaw frozen octopus overnight in the fridge, rinse it under cold water.
- Combine octopus, thick lemon slices, and red wine vinegar in a large pot, add water to nearly cover, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, simmer for 40-50 minutes until tender.
- Remove octopus and allow to cool to room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
- Separate tentacles from the head, rinse gently.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat; brush with olive oil and grill octopus tentacles for 10-12 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat, drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, sprinkle with oregano, and serve with lemon wedges.
