Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until just cooked through, then remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, scrape the bottom of the skillet, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return salmon to skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley or basil and serve hot with sides like rice or pasta.
