- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a frying pan with butter.
- Chop three pieces of bacon and add them to the pan over medium heat. After a few minutes, add ground beef, seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook for 8–10 minutes.
- Transfer the beef and bacon mixture into a buttered baking dish.
- Whisk three large eggs, then add heavy cream and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
- Pour the egg and cream mixture over the meat base, then sprinkle with remaining cheddar and reserved bacon.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow the pie to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
