Ingredients
  

For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Pineapple fresh, chopped
  • 2 pcs Habaneros adjust quantity for heat
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Water for consistency
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice or lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Honey optional, can substitute with agave syrup
  • 1 tsp Salt

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat a splash of oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced habaneros. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add chopped pineapple, apple cider vinegar, water, lime juice, and salt to the saucepan. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Continue cooking until pineapple softens and mixture reduces slightly, about 10–15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and transfer to a blender. Blend until smooth, adjusting thickness with water if necessary.
  5. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean bowl for a smoother finish.
  6. Allow to cool to room temperature before transferring to a sterilized bottle or jar.
