- Start by placing a skillet over medium heat and adding the toasted hazelnuts. Cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown.
- Remove frozen avocado chunks from the freezer and let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to soften.
- In a blender, combine unsweetened plant milk, frozen banana slices, thawed avocado, raw cocoa or cacao powder, and maple syrup. Blend until smooth.
- Check the consistency. If too thick, slowly add a splash more plant milk, blending until creamy.
- Pour the smoothie bowl into a serving bowl and top with toasted hazelnuts and desired toppings.
