Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Roll out the puff pastry until it’s about 3mm thick, then cut into 10 cm (4-inch) circles.
- In a mixing bowl, combine Nutella, melted unsalted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each pastry circle, leaving a 1 cm (½-inch) border.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to create half-moon shapes, press to seal, and crimp edges with a fork. Brush tops with egg wash.
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt over each bomb.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar before serving.
