  • 2 fillets Salmon Fillets (skin-on) Skinless can also work, reduce cooking time by 1 minute.
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt Adjust to taste.
For the Flavor
  • 1 whole Lemon Use fresh lemon for best results.
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Salted butter can be used with caution.
  • 1 clove Garlic Finely chopped; ensure subtle flavor.
For Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley or Dill Chopped, use any fresh herbs you like.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, add a couple of tablespoons of neutral oil and heat it over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season generously with kosher salt on both sides.
  3. Carefully place the salmon fillets in the hot skillet, skin-side down, and cook for 3-4 minutes without moving them.
  4. Using a fish spatula, gently flip the salmon fillets over and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Add cubed unsalted butter, minced garlic, and juice from half a lemon.
  5. Continue cooking until the salmon is opaque throughout and flakes easily with a fork, about 3-4 more minutes after adding the butter.
  6. Once done, remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or dill.
