Preparation Steps
- Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs for tenderness.
- Combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Rub the seasoning mix generously on the ribs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the ribs for 2-3 minutes on each side if browning.
- Cut the ribs into sections if necessary and arrange them upright in the crock pot.
- Pour half of the Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce over the ribs.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
- Carefully remove the ribs after cooking and brush with additional BBQ sauce.
- Broil the ribs for 2-3 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.

Notes
For tender ribs, remove the membrane and ensure each rib is coated with seasoning. Broiling at the end gives a nice finish.
