Preparation and Baking
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. Avoid over-mixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
