Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of warm milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of instant yeast. Stir gently and let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together 4 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture, along with 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk, 1 large egg, and 2 tablespoons of softened butter. Stir until blended, then knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes until doubled in size.
- Gently punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf or smaller buns. Place in a greased pan and let rest for another 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the top with egg wash and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
