Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine one bottle of fruity red wine, two cups of apple cider, and one cup of pomegranate juice. Stir gently with a wooden spoon until well mixed. Let the mixture sit to marry the flavors while you prepare the fruits.
- Slice two oranges and two apples, and add them to the pitcher with the wine mixture. Stir gently to ensure the fruit is evenly distributed.
- Add two cinnamon sticks and a couple of star anise pods to the pitcher. Stir again gently for even distribution.
- Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator for at least one hour, or up to four hours for maximum infusion.
- Before serving, add one cup of club soda or ginger ale to the pitcher and stir gently.
- Pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice and garnish with fresh cranberries and mint leaves.
