Preparation Steps

  2. Slice your day-old croissants into thick pieces and layer half into the greased baking dish.

  4. Repeat the layering process with remaining croissant pieces and chocolate chips.
  5. Whisk together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  6. Pour the custard mixture over the layered croissants, gently pressing down.
  7. Let the assembled bake sit for about 10-15 minutes to soak.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown, then let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
