Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel and dice the butternut squash into small cubes, toss with olive oil, salt, and black pepper and roast for 25–30 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat and caramelize onions for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Roll out the puff pastry to fit your tart pan and place it in the pan.
- Spread the caramelized onions, then layer the roasted squash, goat cheese, heavy cream, and thyme.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.
- Allow cooling for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
