Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Finely chop equal parts of carrots, celery, and onion. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat, add aromatic mixture, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft and translucent.
  2. Introduce ground beef and ground pork into the pot. Break up the meat and cook for 8-10 minutes until browned. Stir occasionally.
  3. Pour in white wine to deglaze the pot, swirling it around and scraping browned bits. Allow to simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and milk, mixing well. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  5. Reduce heat to low and partially cover the pot. Let simmer for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve over al dente pasta, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
