Ingredients

For the Fries
  • 1 whole Watermelon Choose a ripe, sweet watermelon.
For the Creamy Strawberry Dip
  • 1 cup Vanilla Yogurt Greek yogurt can be substituted.
  • 1 cup Strawberries Fresh or frozen.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Adjust to taste; can swap with maple syrup or agave.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Knife
  • Crinkle fry cutter

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Select a ripe watermelon; it should feel heavy with a uniform shape and smooth skin. Cut the watermelon in half and then slice each half into ½-inch thick rounds. Using a crinkle fry cutter or a sharp knife, create fry-like strips from the rounds, discarding the excess rind.
  2. In a blender, combine the vanilla yogurt, strawberries, and honey. Blend on low speed for about 30 seconds until smooth and creamy. Adjust sweetness if desired.
  3. Arrange the freshly cut watermelon fries on a colorful platter and pour the creamy strawberry dip into a small bowl at the center or side of the platter. Serve immediately.
