- Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
- Once boiling, add the broccoli and blanch for 2-3 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of cooking water and set broccoli aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds.
- Pour the reserved broccoli cooking water into the skillet, add the broccoli, season, and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Cook pasta in the same boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain well.
- Transfer the drained pasta to the skillet, add Parmesan cheese, and toss until combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
