Step-by-Step Instructions for Grilled Pineapple
- Slice off the top and bottom of the pineapple, stand upright, and trim away the skin.
- Cut the pineapple into ½ to ¾ inch thick rings or spears, removing the core if using rings.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter or coconut oil with brown sugar until well combined.
- Brush the mixture generously on both sides of each pineapple slice.
- Optionally, sprinkle ground cinnamon or chili powder on each slice.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, about 400°F (200°C).
- Grill the pineapple slices for 3–4 minutes on one side until grill marks appear.
- Flip the slices and grill for an additional 3–4 minutes until tender and caramelized.
- Remove from grill, let rest for a minute, serve with ice cream and fresh mint.
