Ingredients

For the Rolls
  • 200 grams Feta Cheese Use fresh feta for a rich flavor and creamy texture.
  • 200 grams Turkey Ham Acts as a savory wrap; substitute with prosciutto or vegetarian ham if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme Adds a fragrant touch; oregano or basil can be used as alternatives.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Enhances flavor; it can be omitted if you prefer a lighter option.
  • 6 Wood Skewers Essential for grilling; make sure to soak in water beforehand to avoid burning.

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Wood Skewers

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by cutting the fresh feta cheese into finger-thick sticks, ensuring they’re easy to wrap. Rinse the fresh thyme under cold water and remove the leaves from the stems, discarding the stems.
  2. Lay a slice of turkey ham flat and sprinkle some fresh thyme leaves over it. Next, place a feta stick at one end and tightly roll the ham around the feta, making sure it adheres well. Repeat this process until you've wrapped all your feta sticks.
  3. While assembling the rolls, preheat your grill to medium heat (about 180°C or 350°F).
  4. Place your assembled Grilled Feta and Ham Rolls on the preheated grill. Grill for approximately 5 minutes, turning occasionally to achieve a golden-brown exterior.
  5. Once the rolls are beautifully grilled, carefully remove them from the grill and let cool for a minute. Serve them warm and enjoy.
