For the Chipotle Tahini
  • 1/2 cup tahini can mix with hot sauce or yogurt for variation
  • 1 whole chipotle pepper adjust based on spice tolerance
  • 1 clove garlic enhance with roasted garlic for richness
  • 2 tbsp water thin out the sauce until it reaches desired consistency
  • 1/4 tsp salt season to taste

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by finely chopping skinless salmon and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet, add diced onion, and sauté until translucent.
  3. Combine sautéed onions with salmon, harissa, egg, lemon juice, mustard, panko, parsley, scallions, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika in the mixing bowl. Mix well.
  4. Shape mixture into 6-8 patties and place on a parchment-lined plate.
  5. Combine additional panko and sesame seeds in a bowl, coat each patty evenly.
  6. Fry the patties in olive oil over medium-low heat until golden brown on each side.
  7. Blend tahini, chipotle, lemon juice, garlic, and water until smooth; adjust consistency with more water if needed.
  8. Serve patties with chipotle tahini and sides.
