Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Divide dough and add gel food coloring to each portion.
  7. Wrap dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Roll tablespoon-sized balls in powdered sugar and place on baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and tops are cracked.
  10. Let cool on baking sheet before transferring to wire rack.
