- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- Divide dough and add gel food coloring to each portion.
- Wrap dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll tablespoon-sized balls in powdered sugar and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and tops are cracked.
- Let cool on baking sheet before transferring to wire rack.
