Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 4 cups Boiling Water Bring to a rolling boil for best results.
  • 12 oz Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate Freshly squeezed can be used.
  • 3 bags Tea Bags Black tea recommended; herbal tea for caffeine-free.
  • 1 cup Cranberry Juice Provides the base flavor and tartness.
Flavor
  • ½ cup Lemon Juice Fresh lemon juice is preferable.
  • 20 pieces Whole Cloves Ground cloves can be substituted with caution.
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon Can substitute with cinnamon sticks.
Sweetness and Garnish
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar Adjust to taste or substitute with honey.
  • 1 cup Fresh or Frozen Cranberries Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Brewing Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat, add 3 tea bags, 20 whole cloves and 1 tsp of ground cinnamon. Steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags and spice ball. While warm, whisk in ½ cup of granulated sugar until dissolved.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine 4 cups of cranberry juice, 12 oz of frozen orange juice concentrate, and ½ cup of lemon juice. Stir well.
  4. Pour warm tea mixture into the pitcher with the juices and stir gently until combined.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving or serve warm.
  6. Pour into mugs, garnish with optional cranberries, and enjoy.
