Step-by-Step Instructions for Tofu Fried Rice
- Cook the jasmine rice according to the package instructions. Spread it on a baking sheet to cool completely for about 15-20 minutes.
- Dice the firm tofu into small cubes and pat them dry with paper towels, then set aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the diced tofu for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy, then keep warm.
- Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for 30 seconds. Then, add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet, add cooled rice, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until combined.
- Sprinkle sliced green onions and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir for another minute to combine flavors.
- Remove from heat and optionally garnish with sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
