Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF (175ºC) and lightly coat a donut pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and milk for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fill each cavity of the donut pan about three-quarters full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 15-16 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  8. Prepare the cinnamon sugar mixture, then brush each warm donut with melted butter and roll in the mixture.
