Step-by-Step Instructions

  4. Add green food coloring, stirring until you reach your desired hue. Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  5. Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls, coat them in powdered sugar.
  6. Place dough balls on the baking sheet spaced 2 inches apart and bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Immediately after baking, press a heart-shaped candy into the center of each cookie.
