- Warm 1 cup of milk to about 110°F and combine with 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together 4 cups of flour, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, ½ cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Cut in ½ cup of butter.
- Add the yeast mixture, 2 eggs, and 1 tablespoon of food dye to the flour mixture. Mix until smooth.
