Step-by-Step Instructions for Cranberry Jalapeño Cream Cheese Dip
- Start by taking 8 ounces of softened cream cheese and placing it in a mixing bowl. Using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese on medium speed for about 1–2 minutes, until it becomes smooth and creamy with no lumps.
- Next, add in ½ cup of sour cream, blending it with the cream cheese. Mix on medium speed for another 1–2 minutes until well combined.
- If you’re using fresh cranberries, coarsely chop 1 cup and stir them into the creamy mixture, or mix in the canned cranberry sauce directly.
- Finely chop 1 or 2 jalapeños and stir them into the dip, mixing thoroughly for about 30 seconds.
- Slice ¼ cup of green onions and fold them gently into the dip with a spatula.
- Sprinkle in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese into the mixture and stir well.
- Give your dip a taste and sprinkle in salt and pepper according to preference. Add honey if desired and mix thoroughly.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Once chilled, serve alongside tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
