Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 packet of instant dry yeast, and 1.5 teaspoons of sea salt. Mix well and gradually pour in 1.5 cups of warm water, stirring until a wet, shaggy dough forms.
  2. Cover the bowl loosely and allow the dough to rest at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours, or overnight.
  3. Gently turn the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a round loaf.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F and place a pizza stone or cast iron dutch oven inside to heat up. Place a baking dish with water on the bottom rack.
  5. Place the shaped loaf on a floured pizza peel, cover, and let it rest for about 45 minutes. Score the top before baking.
  6. Carefully slide the dough onto the pizza stone or into the dutch oven and bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the loaf to a cooling rack and cool completely before slicing.
