Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by marinating chicken tenderloins in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
  2. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Reserve grease for frying chicken.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl.
  4. Heat oil in the skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Dredge marinated chicken in flour mixture, then fry until golden brown, about 4 minutes each side.
  6. Cut cooked chicken into 1-inch chunks.
  7. Assemble tacos with tortillas, lettuce, cheese, chicken, ranch dressing, bacon, and crispy onions.
