Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add 2 cups of rigatoni or farfalle, cooking it according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Strain the pasta and transfer it to a mixing bowl to cool slightly.
- While the pasta cools, preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C), heating for about 5 minutes.
- Drizzle 1-2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil over the cooked pasta, then add 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper. Finish by incorporating ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese and toss until evenly coated.
- Place the seasoned pasta in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10-14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Once done, carefully remove the pasta chips, garnish with more parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately with marinara or pesto.
