  • 1 stalk Celery Diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced or crushed
  • 0.5 cup White Wine Dry variety or chicken broth as substitute
  • 1 cup Milk or Heavy Cream Use milk for lighter dish, cream for richer
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg Use sparingly
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, and celery; cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  2. Add ground meat, breaking it apart; cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Pour in white wine, scraping up brown bits; cook for 3-5 minutes until mostly evaporated.
  4. Reduce heat to low, stir in milk or cream, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Cover and simmer on low heat for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Before serving, stir in Parmesan cheese until fully melted. Adjust seasoning if needed.
