- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in one egg and the cotton candy and vanilla extracts until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to wet ingredients.
- Divide dough into two bowls; add pink food coloring to one and blue to the other, folding until evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop, take portions from both colors to form swirl dough balls and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for about 12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers remain soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
