  1. Preheat your Dutch oven over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper. Sear for 10-12 minutes until browned.
  3. Remove the roast from the Dutch oven and set aside to rest.
