Ingredients
  

Muffins
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder Ensure it's fresh.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk Use almond milk for dairy-free.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Melted for easy mixing.
  • 1 large Egg Can replace with flaxseed meal.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Cinnamon Swirl Filling
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Melted Butter
Glaze
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese Optional but recommended.
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin.
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Prepare the cinnamon swirl filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  6. Spoon muffin batter into cups, add cinnamon swirl filling, and top with more batter.
  7. Swirl the filling into the batter using a toothpick or knife.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool and prepare the cream cheese glaze by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk.
  10. Drizzle glaze over the muffins and serve warm.
