Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Pan: Grease or line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Melt Marshmallows and Butter: In a large saucepan, combine butter and mini marshmallows over medium-low heat. Stir continuously for 5-7 minutes until melted and smooth.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Remove from heat and gently fold in Rice Krispies until coated. Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Melt Caramel Mixture: Use a double boiler to melt the caramels, vanilla extract, and 1/4 cup heavy cream for about 10 minutes until smooth. Pour over Rice Krispie base.
  5. Prepare Chocolate Layer: Melt chocolate chips and remaining heavy cream in the microwave, heating in 30-second intervals until smooth. Pour over caramel layer.
  6. Add Toppings: Sprinkle chopped pecans and extra chocolate chips on top. Drizzle with remaining caramel.
  7. Set and Cut: Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, then lift out and cut into squares.
