  • 8 ounces block-style cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.
  2. Cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter and 2 cups of granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh orange zest and ½ cup of orange juice.
  4. Gradually mix in 2 cups of all-purpose flour and ½ teaspoon of salt until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter in the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 15 minutes.
  7. Beat together 8 ounces of softened cream cheese and ½ cup of unsalted butter until smooth.
  8. Add in 2 cups of powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of orange zest, and 2 tablespoons of orange juice and mix well.
  9. Spread the frosting over the slightly warm brownies, refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.
