  • Donut pans
  • Stand mixer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Piping Bag

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg. Mix on low speed for about 30 seconds.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, milk, eggs, sourdough discard, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients using a spatula until just combined.
  5. Grease your donut pans thoroughly to prevent sticking. Use a piping bag to fill each cavity about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 14-16 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  8. Once cool, coat each donut in powdered sugar using a sealed bag.
  9. Serve fresh and enjoy with your favorite beverage!
